I just hope to high Heaven that there's no "Gen Y", "Fast and furious" feel to the movie. Also, no theme song, just a rock solid Brian May score!

Don't use the remaining $75 Mil on CG effects, use it to buy lots of cars and insurance, and to pay the stuntmen REALLY well. MM2 still stands out today as an action masterpiece because of the extremely innovative use of stunt sequences. (like the boom setup used to hurl the bike under the Mack's wheels) I want to say "MY GAWD! How'd they do THAT!?" not, "Gee, that's almost adaquite computer work" My eye can spot a computer's touch at 1000 paces, and it just pulls me right out of the film EVERY time. Dr. Miller has the opportunity to do something here that hasn't been seen since...well, MM2: Deliver a truly awe inspiring chase sequence.

My feeling is that, really, this film doesn't need to be made. (hold on a sec..) no big studio is screaming to get the next big sequal out regardless of quality, to make a fast buck. Gibson's career doesn't need this movie, nor does Millers. So why make it?

Because Dr. Miller has something special in store for us. I really, truly, think we are in for a treat.

I doubt they can make Fury Road much like how they made Road Warrior. The kinda stunts they did back then are probably illegal today. The CGI stuff I'm mostly looking forward to is how they put together a post-apocalyptic world. They can do a hell of a lot more with computers. I'd like to see more shots of destroyed cities, vast deserts littered with remnants of past civilizations, and other sh*t they couldn't convincingly do with scale models. The end shot of Sydney in Beyond Thunderdome was the coolest part, but it looked so fake :P

Uncle, no need to get nasty... Intceptbuilder has more than earned the right to his opinion. LOL!

So anybody in the film industry over there know any behind the scenes secrets they can let out? Pete? Gordon? You guys working on the film or know anybody who is? I will trade my Independence Day crew jacket for anything from the production, including a used styrofoam coffee cup. LOL!

Hope this all works out ok. Don't want it mass merchandised either. No Mc Donald's Happy Meal Interceptors or Max jammies for the kiddies. Keep the soundtrack orchestral and don't bring in the latest pop sensation or pseudo punk metal breakout artist. Nothing dates a film more than an obvious pop culture reference. Keep it vague and it stays timeless.

Any word on vehicles? Gotta see what direction this will take stylistically and technologically. Again, hoping for the best and no cow cars.

Still peeing myself with excitement, (metaphorically speaking...)

Well, If somebody wants to pick up the action figure ball that N2 Toys dropped, that wouldn't be a bad thing would it Mitch? Limited, Adult oriented merchandising is OK with me, just don't go Star Wars on us. (ie: I WANT some Max jammies for myself ! )

I have a Jurrasic Park: The Lost World "Preview Team" shirt to go with Mitch's jacket offer also.... :)

Aww, c'mon Mitch! My wife insists that it's just not a legitimate film franchise these days until there are toys in the happy meals at McDonalds!

I'm willing to bet Mcfarlane will pick up on the Mad Max toy franchise.
