WEZ Vs. IRONBAR BASSEY

Post by Uncle Entity »

Don't joke so easily, Adrian. Bassey is freakkin' dangerous. The guy's favourite weapon is a large machete. Have you caught it ?Image

Anyway, VERNON WELLS is playin' a very silly villain for an assed-version of the original POWER RANGERS. ANGRY ANDERSON is a successful rock-singer, ROSE TATTOO is a legendary Aussie band.

There is no competition here! Ironbar is more unbreakable than Bruce Willis Image

I know it... Truth hurts Image

WEZ Vs. IRONBAR BASSEY

My vote is for Wez. I mean, lookit, Ironbar is a total Wez Wanna-Be. It seems to me good ole Ironbar was lurking in the shadows during RW and studying everything about Wez so he could come off bigger and badder in MMBT. If Ironbar was his own man, he would have given himself some long hair and a beard, anything to identify himself as an individual and not a follow-up of Wez.

My vote is for The Mighty Wez. He's big, he's bad, he's nasty and he's without remorse or regret. And I'm glad they made him gay. At least us ladies got to enjoy some eye candy thanks to Wez' boyfriend.

So there we have it, the scales have tipped in wez's favour yet again, so i think it is safe to say wez is a bad ass and ironbar is.....................well, just an ass.

INTERESTING THEORY! I think during RW Ironbar was just too much young... he was just 22 years old or so. Probably the Dogs of War were legendary in his book.

Adrian... don't be so sure. Ironbar could break your british and polished neck in few nanoseconds! Hahhahahahahah :) :) :)

In my book, Wez was the prototype and IRONBAR the definitive improvement. Think to the T-100 and T-2000 in Terminator 2 . I'm sorry Adrian, it's the same affair :)

I mean, Angry Anderson is a punk rocker! He created the punk movement in OZ. When he was screaming on stage at the very beginning of his career, fukkin' the Aussie masses and showing his spontaneous bad boy nature... Vernon was just a kid in the audience!

And please, Ironbar was bald because EVERYONE in Bartertown was bald. The Guardsmen have no time to think about hairstyle. They just wore those wacko punk-rock hair wigs... Plus, Ironbar's vest is damn cool. The Japanese totem was super cool. The machete was cool. The whip was cool. Every cell of Bassey's body is screaming its fukkin' coolness. I mean, he's Angry Anderson! A legend of the '70ies. Can't compete with the guy !!!!!!!!

Truth hurts. Again. Wez was dangerous and cool and ferocious. But Ironbar was the next step.

Just messin' Uncle, on a serious note, i think wez and ironbar were both dangerous individuals in there own worlds, even though they had different personalities i think they could have dealt with same situations both in there own way. I loved the character of ironbar purely for the villainous humour. Because the styles of both RW and BTD are so different it is hard to imagine, in my opinion, who would be more dangerous. There was a savage rawness to wez which suited his surroundings, wherease ironbar was allowed to be a more cooler character in his. both were my favourite characters, both lethal in there own way.

WEZ Vs. IRONBAR BASSEY

Mitch Mitch Mitch!!!!

Response to your November 16th post. (Vernon Wells films)

Unless someone already responded with this - Vernon Wells was in a sort of cool movie with Dennis Quaid called "Innerspace" where he played a bad guy and virtually speechless (once again), until the end when Martin Shorts' stomach acids disintegrate him. Then he screeches like a stuck pig on an Austrailian fuel compound...

P.S. WEZ RULES

Adrian,

I'm actually proud to have known about you !!! Image

Yeah, you're definitely right, Ironbar's style is different from Wez's - both are interesting characters - I would have liked to know more about their background stories. In my humble opinion, Wez, Humungus, Ironbar Bassey and Master-Blaster are the greatest villains in movie history. Aunty Entity is a sort of heroic femme fatale/sorceress in my book... I could hardly hate her.

Still, Ironbar was just a 23 years old boy when everything was crumbling down in the Wasteland (I assume he was 38 years old in Thunderdome)... he learnt a lot from the Dogs of War, their ferocious attitude & technique I guess. I'm glad he went beyond the Marauder phase, becoming a sort of policeman in his own twisted way.

Unfortunately, Bartertown was NOT the future. The point of the movie is that after Chaos, there are no more "proper" villains or heroes... people is struck in the MIDDLE. WE need innocence to restore a society, to create something totally new from the ashes. MAX is not the future. Bartertown is not the future. Crack in the Earth is partially the future. HOME is the future...

Coming back to Ironbar Bassey, loved so much the spontaneous "hate" between him and Mad Max throughout the movie... Loved the way Max irritated him in Aunty's penthouse, while our hero was chewing a fruit...

I'm with Uncle, this is a very interesting topic. I gotta rewatch Mad Max and and Beyond Thunderdom again.

We gotta take a vote on the baddest leader: Toecutter, Humungous or Auntie Entity

The baddest second-in-command: Bubba, Wez or Ironbar.

Y'know, Bubba was damn mean. Wez was the lunatic, Ironbar a nutcase, and then there is Bubba. I dunno, he's the closest thing to human outta those three, and yet, he's very sneaky, deadly and quiet. He's the kinda fella who can move about in civilization and yet, turn around and cut your throat and then go eat a huge steak at a restaurant. He's not hollering, screaming and yelling like Wez or Ironbar. Good ole Bubba just sit and watches. His mind is always thinking, u can see it in his eyes.

I mean, my fave villian is Wez, don't get me wrong. But yet, I'd like to hear what everyone thinks of Bubba. Let's keep this thread going, like Uncle Entity said.

I'm glad Uncle found a cool can of worms to open. Image
