Great video Taipan…loving the sound of Dementus’ chariot bikes.

Have you any idea how far this film will take us back into Furiosa’s time line?

E.g Will we see her as a child growing to be Anya Taylor-Joy, will we find out her real name etc?
Pray hes out there!!

I have a vague recollection that about 10 years ago Miller and Mitchell gave an interview where they spoke of the prequels and one of them stated that Max would appear in Furiosa (however briefly) but Furiosa would not appear in The Wasteland. Or was it Mark Sexton?. Not sure. Anyway, the sighting of the BoB would seem to confirm what was said. That would be a nice touch that would whet the appetite for a final film in which the car and Max would feature prominently. Would be curious if Hardy might be recast at that point too.

BTW, thanks for the video update. Love those.

When I spoke with Miller in 2015 about Furiosa, I asked him about Max' presence in the movie, something like "it's a prequel so he's not going to be in the movie", and Miller answered me with a little smile, telling me "oh, there's something"... without telling me more.
At that time, Mark Waziutak told me some weeks before he was ready to work on Furiosa (and it was planned to be shot in Queensland, according to him), but Miller told me he was planning to shot The Wasteland !

Now, Max' presence can be just a very small cameo, but Hardy's stunt double was in Broken Hill... and the Bob was seen in Kurnell...

That's an interesting point, as most of the players we saw older in Fury Road appear here recast, I'm also wondering if this is the last we have seen of Tom Hardy as Max. I mean it's ten years later, assuming The Wasteland is done somewhere in the next 5 to 10 years, that will be 20 years after Fury Road. It would make sense that whoever plays Max in Furiosa returns in The Wasteland and it won't be Tom Hardy in a prequel where he appears 20 years older.

Thank you Seriz. I knew I wasn't mis-remembering things.

BTW, looking forward to reading the English version of your book.

We're going all the way back to the moment Furiosa was taken as a child, they'll probably switch out Anya for a child actress for that part because we won't spend much time in the Green Place, just enough to establish the location. Which is why I think they brought in the horse wranglers for the film, after all the Vuvalini were horse riders, which is why they still have their horse saddles on their bikes many years after the Green Place was destroyed.

In the FR universe, the world started crumbling down aprox. in 2015, and the events involving Furiosa & Max are set in 2060. If Furiosa was 33 years old or so in FR, I guess that this movie is set 10-12 years before FR and she is 20.

There's possibility that Hardy will be replaced by Tom Cruise. Right now he's in the perfect age to play young Max

Hahahaaaaa my feeling is Max will appear, but his face in the shadows here.

Now there's another possibility, they use face CGI on Jacob Tomuri to put Tom Hardy back in.

I'm not sure, but I think there are several shots in FR where it's him playing Max already with CGI copy paste of Tom's face.

Not that Tom, the other Tom.
