How the Director's Guild of America awarded Inarritu instead of Miller is amazing. The Revenant is good, but it's already been forgotten. People are still talking about FR.

Of course Kurosawa and Kubrick never got best director nods, so Miller is in good company.

Sadly enough.
The Oscar-campaign for The Revenant was just embarrassing.
Their goal was to convince the audience that this was the toughest and hardest shoot in the history of filmmaking. And it worked. At least for Di Caprio and Inarritu...
