It's just more logical that way.
Indeed.

A mate and were discussing the possibility that an impressionable Feral kid, whose only other exposure to adults is either partial indifference from Pappagallows crew, or outright hostility from the Dogs, was so impressed and effected by his time with Max that he took on Max's identity in a personal cult like manner, learning his mannerisms and eventually obtaining by all means available a fabled Interceptor like car.

All this whilst being brought up in the Northern tribe, learning from Max until he leaves and MMBT occurs to him independently. I wonder if the Fury road episode is a grown up Feral kid who is to all intents and purpose a second generation Mad Max who has seen his world collapse around him perhaps due to the predation of desperate gangs leading him to head south and contact with the greater organisation of Imortan Joe's empire.

This would allow for a timeline starting from the late seventies and declining into the ninties and noughties and explains the 'alternate universe' feel to Fury Road.

I'm truly considering the hypothesis that the oceans vanished from the globe after the clear attack of a new type of massive mass-murder weapons which make water evaporate ---- NO nuclear missiles.

Fury Road can't be part of the Mad Max Timeline, because it's a new set of films.
it's not a sequel, it's a new Max, new storyline, new actor etc.

Fury Road is the part 1 to a new series.
