So, if the Merc tanker and the Furiosa tanker belong to the same group, Furiosa's tanker would than probably carry water and supplies. And maybe even have some living quarters or places to shelter for those sandstorms.
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

This maybe to make it appear as "somewhere in the world"...kennerado wrote: One concern I do have and maybe furyroadstunts can answer this, it seems a few of the cars are actually LEFT HAND DRIVE? This confuses me since they were all built in Australia - unless they were converted during construction? If most are left hand drive, that's kind of a let down IMO - a long with the 911 call in the intro - which possibly MAY have only been inserted for US audiences?
In MM1 most overseas viewers didn't know where it was filmed originally because there was no mention of real place names.
Sun city.... Wee Jerusalem.
Even in MM2 the international viewer wouldn't really know where it was because the place names were a bit obscure. Mundi Mundi.... Sunshine coast... were the only clues.
It wasn't until MM3 that the international viewer knew it was Australia when max looked at the 3D viewer and later the blown up Sydney Harbour bridge and Opera house.
While the vehicles were essentially built in Australia, some are from the USA, The caddies used in giggahorse, The humvee, The Military trucks for the boom box truck and Chassis used for the Merc truck etc...
We are 100% snafu....

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I like the point about the sandstorms.Nightwalker wrote:So, if the Merc tanker and the Furiosa tanker belong to the same group, Furiosa's tanker would than probably carry water and supplies. I'm just wondering if they're going to get to the coast with only one (or even none) of the five wives and then reveal there was something in the tanker all along like children.

Hmmm... In MM2 the fuel depot was destroyed to keep the enemy from getting it (and also smuggling fuel out).
This big explosion does suggest that someone blew up a huge tanker FULL of fuel. Not a very good strategy for either those pursuing the rig, or those in the rig... fuel tankers don't just blow up. They need an incendiary or spark and air (eg purposeful ignition). The quest for bigger badder CGI explosions continues... my fears continue to solidify as preliminarily it seems totally contrary to the goals of the cat or the mouse here...

While we are talking about the Americanisms of Mad Max Fury Road we shouldn't forgot that in the RW the fuel is constantly refereed to as gasoline, which we don't call it here it's just called petrol.
And some of the ex-cop uniforms and cars in RW are also very American influenced. Particularity the black ad white police car and the silver helmets.
So it's not a new thing for Fury Road.

Have a read of the various crew members comments posting on facebook. This was apparently NOT cgi but a real explosion
