The Cadillac would indicate that at least a part of the film takes place earlier in the franchise. I don't see how such a machine, not to mention the other gasoline powered, blown-engined vehicles, would make sense in a petroleum-starved post-Thunderdome world. And then there's the Interceptor...

The tires. Big ones, even on the Caddy. This would indicate off-road chase scenes. As in, no asphalt.

Not sure what to make of the tracked vehicle. That thing ain't gonna move fast at all, so I can't imagine it will be used in any of the "at speed" chase sequences. Perhaps it'll be something used to putter around sand dunes.
That depend track may go to 100 kilometer per hour, it like the hellcat tank big canon but no defense but a hell of speed it goes to 100 km/h speed maybe with a good v10 supercharge with blower.

Called that one.

In the new Fury Road documentary that just came out on iTunes, Colin Gibson said that the whole armada of Fury Road cars was destroyed in 2003 which is what sparked my interest.
I've been asking around to find out about those vehicles and one car popped out: the original Big Foot (Rictus's Monster truck).

Originally it was a monster truck called the Flying Falcon. The car itself was the XF Falcon. It was shipped to Namibia and who knows what happened to it since then? Maybe it was shipped back because it wasn't actually used.

This is what it looked like:

Another vehicle that lived through the first iteration of Fury Road with Mel Gibson is no other than the actual hero car - the Interceptor. It was built for Fury Road and shipped to Namibia, then shipped back to Australia and starred in the Commonwealth Bank Commercial. It then re-appeared in 2009 at the Fury Road announcement, and later modified again for the Namibian Fury Road shoot. It's the car that's been exhibited all around along with Nux's car. It's cool to find out that this is the only car that lived to tell the tale, its' been there from the very beginning.

A monster truck would have really suited Rictus. I always found it weird how Immortan Joe swaps vehicles in the canyon, especially given you don't actually see him transferring over.
