I also saw that episode last night. It was pretty funny how the dude said it was for a secret movie and a sequel to his favorite 80s action flicks. Then he went on how it's an honor and all that and how he always dreamed of being in their movies and was honored to be part of the new one. The producers sent some footage of dunes or a wasteland. It was so obvious what it was for. Kinda cool how we discovered it way back in August.

I missed it, but my brother caught the repeat broadcast of "Howe & Howe Tech" this evening (Episode 4 - Hollywood Howes). Apparently much of the 1 hour show was dedicated to the construction and testing of the Ripsaw built for Fury Road. The episode should be available for d/l online soon. Should have more details and screen shots then.

Thanks junkers. Anyone interested in the Ripsaw built for Fury Road needs to download the episode from that link and watch. It's the closest look you'll likely get of it for some time.

Video outtakes of the Fury Road Ripsaw as it's being run through some tests. Love that sound!

Nope I believe the Tracked Vehicle is a 1000hp RIPSAW. It pulls 2.1 gs out the hole... and does over 80mph and accels 0-60mph in 5 secs and all that on sand. Its the real deal!!!

That's pretty cool. I'll be curious to see what the art department does to it to make it a little more worn out.

Re: Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
That Ripsaw is totally bad-ass, but here's my problem with it:
Does it really belong in a Mad Max film?
In other words, is it plausible that someone could cobble something like that together in a post-apocalypse setting?
Human ingenuity can accomplish an awful lot, but it seems to me that engineering a vehicle like the Ripsaw out of spare parts in a world where all the normal supply lines have completely vanished would be an almost insurmountable task.
Of course, one could suppose that if a Ripsaw can exist in our world, then in the Mad Max timeline, it's possible one could have existed before civilization fell apart, and might therefore be kept in a serviceable state by some dedicated survivalist after the collapse.
But I'm stretching here. Really, it's a vehicle that I'd expect to find in a Mad Max rip-off before I'd expect it to be in an actual Max film.
What makes Mad Max movies compelling is that they present a world which is totally believable, a world which could exist. I really hope Fury Road will not sacrifice believability for bad-assness.

This is a good point and I've been wondering the same.
I imagine that while the RipSaw is highly advanced it's portrayal in the film will be something more cobbled together.
I think the issue is that if they built a realistically achievable tracked vehicle it would be so slow and cumbersome it would be pretty lame to watch.
