This is very interesting. I'm really interested by these dark shots such as the ones in the water. I wonder if any of these are in the black tanker? We still don't know what's in there and it may be just as significant as the five wives.BRC1974 wrote:Anyone else notice the little kid crawling under max?

Well, this has the feeling that you get when your favorite musician sells out so that he can get in the top 40.
Or when your favorite movie has a sequel filled with advertisements from Pepsi, Ford, Rolex, and Better Homes and Gardens.
Let's home MM4 doesn't show Max drinking a Bud Light and driving an freshly waxed 7 Series BMW while checking old news footage on his Ipad.

I think the water fight shots were supposed to be in the Citadel (Max chained up), he later tries to escape from it (gets caught, muzzled and strapped to Nux's car?). As for what's in the tanker - 4 options.MWFV8 wrote:This is very interesting. I'm really interested by these dark shots such as the ones in the water. Water, Fuel, breast milk and the mother of all twists - sand. Hard to tell, but word around the campfire is it's not fuel.

I think George learned never to do that again, after he cast Tina Turner back in 1985

Are there certainly no other options? You can see in the teaser that the bubble trailer at the back is hollow, I just wondered if the main tanker might be.Taipan wrote:As for what's in the tanker - 4 options.

Can't tell, water seems to be a valuable commodity, so is breast milk as it's harvested in the Citadel and fuel could be useful to get the War Rig across the wasteland.MWFV8 wrote:Are there certainly no other options? all the quotes from the cast and crew have been all positive regarding how the film is. I doubt George Miller would want to see his best work get pissed on for the sake of being able to make another film. There are a bunch of reasons why the film has taken so long to make and I have a feeling that GM refusing to bow down to Warner Brothers is one of them.
The fact that the film allegedly went over budget in Namibia with Warner's preventing the ending from being shot pretty much tells me that they and GM didn't exactly see eye to eye. However as we all know it all worked out when the executives actually watched the unfinished film (presumably sans CGI Tornado sequence) and gave the green light to George so he could actually finish it.
One concern I do have and maybe furyroadstunts can answer this, it seems a few of the cars are actually LEFT HAND DRIVE? This confuses me since they were all built in Australia - unless they were converted during construction? If most are left hand drive, that's kind of a let down IMO - a long with the 911 call in the intro - which possibly MAY have only been inserted for US audiences?

Would this enormous explosion mean the Merc tanker was a fuel carrier?

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

Yeah I agree with all of this. Getting Fury Road through the development soup process with any degree of integrity has been a massive achievement in itself.kennerado wrote:I doubt George Miller would want to see his best work get pissed on for the sake of being able to make another film. I'm trying to establish the purpose of the War Rig in the original scheme of things. Given that Furiousa is an imperator, it seems odd to me that she would be driving something as vulnerable as a fuel tanker, or any form of tanker really, since this is such a passive and vulnerable role.Taipan wrote:Can't tell, water seems to be a valuable commodity, so is breast milk as it's harvested in the Citadel and fuel could be useful to get the War Rig across the wasteland.MWFV8 wrote:Are there certainly no other options? Plus, as you suggested, the question of if the Road Warrior sand twist is going to re-surface in original or new form. But then a lot of us will be expecting it.
The fact there's already suggestion that the contents aren't what they seem intrigues me.
