I'll admit the lack of powersteering made it 'interesting' to drive in the city. I didn't need to go to the gym. It was improved a little when I had all the bushes in the front end replaced, however once the v8 was dropped in, steering became impossible. It's now had a powersteering unit fitted.
The first time someone leans in your window at the traffic lights and screams in your face "I'M THE NIGHT RIDER" is a bit daunting, but I'm used to it now. Even the police always pulling me over for photos.
People have said the funniest thing is driving behind it and watching the people who see it. The notice it, turn away back to what they were doing, then there is that brief moment when they figure out it's from Max and snap their necks back trying to get another look to make sure it's what they've seen. Apparently building sites are the best as people yell out. I don't know as I can't hear anything over the noise of the engine.

Re: Cundalini
Daz get a UHF fitted and listen to the truckies go orf!!! lol
I had one lady lean out of a 4WD at 100kmh to get photos.
One truckie i passed locked it up! then accellerated to try and catch up and get photos...
there is the other side though where you will get idiots who want to race you or tailgate you within half a meter of the back bumper or deliberately try and cut you off!
And yes can understand the need for power steering too!
I have a 6cyclinder XB and it glides... compared to the steam ship arms needed to steer the V8 model at low speeds.
Many yrs ago I was at a mates place and heading out to dinner, as parking was allocated, he wanted me to park my car in his spot on the road so people wouldnt steal his parking bay. I told him no way i could park in there as i dont have power steer. He laughed at me and said "f*ck off, it'll fit ya girl", I handed him the keys and said... knock yaself out!.... 15mins later and much swearing from him and fits of laughter from me, he had tried about 6 times and eventually got it in there.
If i could aford it id love to convert it to rack and pinion steering...
