Good to here you found the right lense, i pulled mine apart but had no registration at all on it, but i could have found one in my sleep for you as
my dads workshop was nextdoor to a trailer building workshop for twenty years and these are what they used, funny how props things work out.
Your right, they are flimsy rubbish.
Not much of a sparky, a mate does all my special jobs, is the battery your using fully charged? Could account for the sync problem.

Yeah, the lens is really good, just the base, contacts, and bulb look like $2 shop Vietnamese made in Bali by Sudanese descendants of toltecs junk!
Where and why do they sell this stuff in developed countries? Don't they realise that we have standards?
The battery is fine, it's only about 6 months old, fully charged and discharging correctly while engine is running. I think it must be the flasher unit as it's only set to a factory determined cycle speed, and it is not adjustable. I am wondering if it's worth chopping up the Xmas tree lights, and using the flasher from those? If my memory serves me well, they flashed at the rate required at the "correct" tempo.
Goodbye Xmas 2010!!!
