Nice find akmep on the helmet. Never even noticed it the film. It is now obvious that its worn by the passenger in the landau while the bad cop is driving. You are doing well with the translator too.
You are right too madmaximages, the left fuel tank cap is wide open. That would explain him running out of fuel....lol.

Can you imagine wearing an over 100 year old leather helmet? That guy gets the prize. Even the old bell helmets for the beserker outfit seem a bit musty these days. That helmet was over 100 at the time of filming! 1878! YUCK!

Maxes Belt Tools, That Helmet, and I am sure severa other examples, they sure had a LOT of old fire fighting equipment in the prop dept.

Sure looks cool though!

(muffled) "ok were done posing for pictures, now can I take this f%@king helmet off? it stinks in here!"

in reality, out in the desert you would probably sweat to death in that thing, one of those nozzles would have to be hooked to an air hose or something, (kind of like nascar drivers have).

Does anyone know who these three actors are, and if they have ever spoken about their MM2 experience ?

The "Bad Cop" who rolled the Landau was Max Aspin (stunt coordinator). If I had to guess, I'd say the passenger was Dale Aspin (his wife), although looking at the pic, they could just as easily be swapped around (hard to tell with the masks on). Dale Aspin is the Bad Cop later in the film that jumps from the front of one of the trucks to the rear of the tanker in the final chase (no wire, no harness, just make sure you catch that ladder!) Passenger could also obviously be someone else (one of the other stunt guys), sorry I can't say for sure.

Wez should be Vernon Wells, but it doesn't quite look like him in the pic? Guy Norris was his stunt double in the opening chase, but the pic looks even less like him. But with the sunnies on, I'm thinking it would have been a stunt guy.

OK, the correct info this time...

The Bad Cop is Dale Aspin (Max Aspin's wife, performed stunts and was also the animal trainer for Dog). I did think it looked a little thin for Max. Wez is Kim Noyce, who doubled Wez in the opening chase - he also jumps the bike over the trailer on the lookout, etc. Landau passenger is Bob Hicks, and it is his eyes you see when the arrow is fired. Max Aspin was driving the buggy in the opening chase - he did also roll the Landau as previously mentioned. He's also inside the buggy that gets dragged behind the tanker in the final chase (which wasn't meant to flip like it did, but that's another story).

Sounds like Max would have some 'fond' memories of his time on set... lol... in fact he could be the real mad max with those stunts
