Alabaster,
So, what did Dave a Z Power tell you? Did he source the fairings from Whitehouse in Japan?
I've been wanting to do a Toecutter-esque replica for some time now, and I live in Japan, but Whitehouse refuse to sell just the parts. They only accept orders for complete bikes (that don't even use a genuine Z! just a Zephyr 1100). And now they say their going to stop taking orders even for that by the end of this year!!!

Misteraddiction,
Send a personal message to member "Babasan" (Baba-sama - our joke...
) He is also in Japan and owns a beautiful Bubba Zanetti replica. He may be able to help you.
Best of luck!

Hey All,
I drove the six hours down to the Gulf of Mexico to a little town called Rockport, TX. It just so happens that my buddy lives there so I had a place to stay while I picked up my KZ1000 from the guy on eBay. My buddy went and looked at the bike before I bought it and said it looked good. When I got there I was sorely disappointed at the sight of this basket case. It will work because it runs good but boy is it ugly! Someone painted it with textured paint so it looks like it was coated in Rhino liner. They even painted the gauge pods. The seat is covered in fake pleather that was probably bought at a five and dime store. It's ok, though. When I'm done it will be a fine looking machine. It isn't a KZ1000A model so it's not 100% movie accurate but I'm ok with that. I'm still waiting to hear from Dave over in the UK at Z-Power but I'll be sure to let you all know when I do.
Donut-Dale I have a question for you if you don't mind. I apologize for geeking out but after reading all your previous posts I've become a little star struck with you as you are a bonafied celebrity here. I'm curious about the rear sets on the bikes. I'm not familiar with this set up but have told that it is for a drag racing setup. Is this a custom setup or is there an aftermarket bolt-on kit for these bikes? It looks really sharp and definitely want my bike to have this setup. If anyone has any tips, hint, or advice please let me know. This is going to be a big ordeal for me but I relish the challenge.

Toecutterz, what are your long term plans for the molds? Do you plan on keeping them for future use and sell the body kits or are you planning on selling them?

Alabaster:
Nice start, even if it is a basket case! I am wishing you all the luck, cant wait to see the in progress photos!
I have been having troubles getting any responce from anyone at the www.toecutterz.com site (regarding buying or the build process & Methods, such as if the faring is scratch carved from foam or pullede from a splash mould of a true mk1) or Toecutterz here on the forum (about them "Cashing Out"), but this is what he said his plans are [above in this thread]:

Hope that is helpful.toecutterz wrote:we might be interested in selling our plugs as is. they are finished and can be seen at toecutterz.com
$$$$partner is filing chapter 11 not to mention fiberglass company has done a great job BUT they have made this much more stressful then needed(5 months behind schedule). i think they are huffing too much epoxy resin myself but what are you going to do....
anyone interested let me know. they are ready to have a mold made from them BUT the fiberglass guys are stalling so we are cashing out..... we have some $$$$$ into them and would need to get as close to that as needed or sit it out until we can finish. our stuff is pro hired out at $80hr just they suck at deadlines and aren't moved by money cause they have tons of work.
