Y'know the more think about it the more I'm convinced I had a Hotwheels or Matchbox car just like that when I was a nipper. That chrome hard hat is jogging some grey memory cells around.

.MAD MAX. Yeah I guessed that already, there's no tensioner on the belt that goes around the middle blower. A carb under the lowest one? Yeah, most likely.

My original question applies how could having even two blowers in series like that actually make for a more powerful engine? I mean the second blower is only going to be able to supply the same amount of compressed air into the chamber that the first one delivered into it in the first place. Three is just plain bloody stoopid.
I could understand if they were side by side each delivering into seperate combustion chambers on each side of the V8, but one above the other? :?

Mickey Thompson & others used to do some experimentation with Dual stage supercharging with some good results back in the Day..
I've got a book somewhere with a pic of one of his (I think) with a 8/71 attached straight to the Crank pulley feeding into a 6/71 in the normal position, run by a belt.
"Go ahead and run. Run home and cry to mama! Me, I'm Through runnin'!"
