No suprize there.
That whole "ID plates & ShockTower" trick only works on those who do not know where else to look to verify the VIN.
Just like ALL USA vehicles there are several sets of hidden #'s.............. Gotta work overtime to fool the experts at barrett jackson!

This is in the face of a used car market glut too. muscle cars go up in value, but 5-10 yo stock standard cars are worthless.Wrinkles wrote:There seems to be a "fresh" element in the Muscle car/collectable vehicle market - people who wouldn't normally have ANY interest are suddenly realising that a motorised investment makes good sense for a lot of reasons.

Re: No way to treat a GT
Recently someone payed 11K U.S for a 1971 R/T Challenger 440/ 6 pack that rolled early in its life seriously farking up the car where it was basically just parts.well gone was the heavy duty Dana 60 and the hi po 440/ NP A833 4 speed but some hard core Mopar freak bought the shell becuase it was a legit R/.T Challenger 440 six pack.this G.T in the right hands could be saved and if only some hard core Ford guy saw it and bought it.it could be rebodied.
