Goose's song from Mad Max

That sounds like plausible lyrics. I'll have to give it a listen again when I get home from work later. Thanks Scott!

.... And obviously sung to the tune of "Oh Suzannah!" (....Oh don't you cry for me, cos' I come from Alabama with a banjo on my knee)

And there was me thinking I'd struck gold with my little discovery of that scouts song. Ho hum.

PS And I bet you'll still be humming that oh Suzanna tune by dinner time tonight! Sorry. LOL!

Here is what i know if anyone is interested.I got this years ago from one of the stuntmen from the film that did a lot of the Gooses stunts. On the night of the "rap" party or end of shoot ,Steve Bisley wrote that song down on the back of the stunty's call sheets.I have actually seen the call sheet and wrote down the song.Steve used to sing it as a kid, it go's. I used to play my old banjo and rest it on my knee, and now the strings are broken down and she's no good to me, i took it too a menders shop to see what he could do, and now the strings are all fixed up and she"s as good as new.!Obviously you have to put that twang on it but just practice it, all of a sudden it will make sense, regards Scott.

Wow, just played it while reading the words and it comes out quite clear. He starts at the beginning and gets to the end of shop before it cuts out.

The song was a tune sung by Stuntman Terry Gibson. Terry rode the bike in the Goose high speed scene plus other work and also rode the Toecutter bike in the chase scene. He taught Steve Bisley the song whilst they were on set.

Source of this information. Terry Gibson himself and he actually sung the entire song to me when i spoke to him about it a few years ago.

Cheers

GET A LOAD OF THAT
We have to teach him bubba.
