Ooh, that reminds me. I need to check what email addy I used here. One of my emails is no longer valid (it was a Garfield email account and a new contract couldn't be agreed upon with Jim Davis' people).

just leave the "@" symbol out of the equation then as that will stop the web bots

Unless I am a complete mental midget, that is not allowed; I keep getting a message about it not being a valid email address.

BUGSGECKO: Welcome back. Yes, we've had a troll problem lately, and it's really disturbed the Chi in this forum. Newbies under false names are attacking us...round and round like angry ants...mad for the smell of dissonance. So, we're asking that everyone show their current e-mail addy as a step to protecting the regulars/veterans. All the "Garbage...out there" who don't have real addy's will be deleted until the mods get the new forum set up.

Leaving out the "@" no workie; I keep getting a message about it not being a valid email address. Whatever the rules end up being, I will gladly abide by them, but how does having your email address viewable to everyone make a difference; wouldn't it be fine if one put his email address on his account and left it hidden? As long as the moderators can see it, shouldn't that be good enough? The rules are the rules and I will do whatever needs to be done; however, I would prefer that if I post an email address, I would like to find a way to leave out the "@" symbol.
