Dominic Purcell is a bit buff to play max. With all due respect, but Mel looks like a twig compared to him. I honestly have no actor in my mind that can play max but Mel.


Even though he's out, it's Mel Gibson or a huge likelyhood that it will be bust for me. I hope they'll pull a Batman Begins. I hope fury road will be awesome, and the actor they choose as the main role portrays Max as well as Mel Gibson did.

Yes, I am aware that Purcell is a little on the meaty side. But I think there are ways one could work around it. Maybe he might have the determination, like Christian Bale had, when he made The Machinist, to alter his physical apperiance for the sake of us MadMax Fans.

yep sam worthington,born and bred in rockingham wa,i was reading down the posts thinking that he would be good actor for the part and whammo there is was mentioned all ready.'colin farrel.....turn it up.there are a shed load of male aussies actors out there so im sure a ideal one can be sourced from them.eric banna was brillant in chopper so thats a start.has a storyline for mm4 even being thought of? i agree with other comments about tina turner in mm3......ruined the whole film.
