I can't wait to see Grindhouse. Quentin Tarantino is one of the best filmakers ever and is one of the few who has inspired me to become a filmmaker along with Charles Band, Sam Raimi, and H.B. Haliki.

What else could it be? The base looks like the typical MACK bulldog mount though, with the ducky cast on top.

It does look like you may be on to something here. I read elsewhere a bit about a shirt from Big Trouble in Little China being displayed in one of the Austin chili parlor they filmed in. I'm willing to bet Tarantino is gonna fill this one with memorabila tid bits. If that is the case the car choice may also turn out to be some obscure star car also.

>groan< Knight Rider the movie.... You're kidding right?

Oh please tell me you are.

I really didn't like that show the first time and all the remakes that have followed such as Dukes, Starsky and Hutch and Charlies Angels were pretty f**king dire. Like has already been said in another thread, the new versions are so removed from the originals and their characters, they have as much in common and cheese and Tuesday.

What I AM hoping for is a Wonder Woman remake though heyheyheyheyhey!

Next it'd be Street Hawk, then Blakes 7, then Time Tunnel, then Grizzely Adams all heavy on the comedy and one liners, with actors playing themsleves instead of the characters we all knew and liked. I mean to say how can there be any comparisson between the original Starsky and the one played by Ben Stiller or Hutch's character for that matter.... And what happened to Boss Hawg?

Duh....

Now tell us how you REALLY feel BIKER...(smirk).

What was the base car used for the new KITT? Kinda looks like one of the older Porsche or GTO race chassis' used in the 24 hours at LeMans...close/ballpark guess? I'm also willing to bet that if it isn't a racer, it might be a tube chassis with a carbon fiber/fiberglass shell over it like The Wraith's Dodge Turbo Interceptor/PPG Pace Car was.

Please don't tell me that David Hassled-enough is reprising the roll...I don't care how much the German's like him.

The Made-for-TV movie Knight Rider 2000 used a (new at the time) Saturn SC-1coupe to make the red KITT. You can tell by the greenhouse shape, stance, skinny tires, and in the last scene when he drives backwards, spins it and takes off, it's front wheel drive...cheee-zeee.

I had seen the Knight Rider pic also and agree with the analysis that it is photoshopped. The lack of shine around the nose light and odd flat black fill in the rims would be my reasons. Frankly a movie remake could NOT be any worse than the TV series. They should make it clear that the car is the star of the film and the actors are just scenery. You can be sure a NR movie would be full of CGI with little to no real stunt work.

I thought they used the Pontiac Firebird Concept car for KR2K?

Re: Knight Rider Remake.. Yes, it's happening..

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0384254/

Rumor has it Hasslehoff will be in it in a major role.

(I'm guessing NOT Micheal Long/Knight)

Re: Blake's 7 Remake I'm all for it, no use trying to convince me to not like the idea, you'll waste your time.

To my knoledge, no plans are in the works.
