This question came up in the past. My thoughts are pretty simple: The missing sleeve is on his right side, the one that hangs out the drivers window. He removed it to keep his arm from boiling in it's leather casing in the outback sun while driving around.

Max probably did go to the hospital... You don't just find proper fitting leg braces lying around. The arm may have not been that badly injured or healed on it's own, but his knee required serious medical attention. I would guess he removed his MFP leathers before going, though. Otherwise he would have been instantly recognized as an officer. Also, If he didn't, why would they remove the arm sleeve and not the pants leg? (from the much more serious injury.)

Yeah i agree with 'DICTOR, i know MAX is a badarse and 'above' Hospital care, but, sh*t, how did he get 'sewn up' so well, he got his arm fixed and his leg braced up.

I know we can say he coulda stolen the leg brace, but when? where from?

He coulda made it himself, since it's just some metal leather straps and two bolts. It would only have taken him a short while to fashion it out of something he could have found.

Look at the area by the boot. It's an honest to goodness medical quality brace. (though he could have made one if he had wanted/needed to)

Max stole an Interceptor with no authorization.

Max acted as a Bronze with no authorization.

There is enough stuff here to condamn him forever.

He was surely a "wanted" in the brief lapse of time civilization was still on (kind of).

I guess Interdictor is right.

I was kind of thinking the radio alert about the Interceptor may have to do with a missing scene(TC's gang shooting up MFP HQ). Maybe it was assumed that the BoB was taken by one of the gang members, maybe as a tribute to the Nightrider. I don't think there would have been a problem with Max taking it since it was for him to use.

Indeed I always felt if he did get lifted for walzing off with the BoB, Captain McAffee would have covered for him without any problems.
