Hey Bronze, nice to see another Mopar fan! (I have had E,B, and A bodies..along with 2 Aussie chargers)
The Monaro is the 2 door version of the Commodore basically. It is much stiffer then the sedan as well. Similiar drivetrain and similiar options available as well (such as the HSV vehicles)

OK. It makes sense now. Thanks.
After the BOB, my fav is a '72 Ply. Road Runner 440/727 in Plum Crazy Purple with silver strobe stripes over the basket handle. My 3rd fav is..hehe, The General Lee. Too bad the show toasted 285 of them...

There will be a market for Monaro parts
I see it talked about on various forums quite often.

Speaking of Monaro's, got an HQ Monaro here at the moment too..wonder if it will get more attention when the GTO comes out and more people get into the Monaro namesake

Might want to somehow steal some HRT 427s too...I know we want them as well

Been a lifelong Mopar fan myself (had a cat named Mopar) I owned a 66 Newport 2dr hrdtp. My favorites would be the 62 and 63 Plymouth Max Wedge Super Stock cars though. (How many 27 year olds even know what the hell a 62 looks like!?) It runs in the family too, my 23 year old sister has a '70 Road Runner clone. (a Satellite w/ a 440/727.)

I doubt the Catera and Monaro are the same cars...maybe, but doubt it. I have a friend who's parents have a Catera and its a 4 door that comes with a V6. There is a company that converted it to a V8, but man was it cramped. Didn't look like the Monaro engine bay.
But who knows. The Catera should've been something else here instead of the FWD crap we have.
My dad had 2 Satellites...if he heard them being called RR Clones he'd have a fit
Might as well call the RR a GTX clone as well.

Hers was originally a 318 manual tranny car. Had a fresh 440/727 put in it. no badges anywhere, but it now has a RR hood and fresh Plum Crazy paint as well. A Satellite is a Satellite, but this one is pretending to be a RR.
And Satellites cost about 1/10 as much as a genuine 'Runner. (with a different grille and trim, you could just as easily make a GTX clone from a Satellite as well.)

Don't dis the Catera because we got the 'mid range model' as a Cadillac. The Opel Omega has some potential that few people know about. Lotus was asked by GM to help develop a super sedan for their Opel/Vauxhall divisions.
How does 0-60 (mph not kph) in 5.1 seconds sound? Or a 176 mph top speed? These were not a couple of 'one off' promotion cars, either. They were produced in number and sold to the general public.
