UNCLE, atlast we agree on something - ALIEN RESSURECTION is the best of the entire series, with 3 coming up close.

3!? UGH! The entire movie (and the subsequent followup) are based on an implausability. Where and How, did eggs "magically" appear in the hypersleep chamber, after everyony had gone to sleep? Couldn't, Didn't happen. 3 & 4 are bad hypersleep dreams of Ripleys.

James Cameron is a GOD. Aliens(SE) is my favorite after RW. the origional Terminator is also great. as is Carpenter's The Thing. Not strictly Sci-Fi per-say, but Dawn Of The Dead is another all time fave.

Just don't get me started on Alien 3 & 4....

Thats easy REIGN OF FIRE.

It is the most MAX of any non- Max film....ever. The whole mood and tempo is perfect. The music is typical Brian May. The compound scenes are just like MM2. Its now in my top five.

I really liked Reign of Fire as well. It's a shame it was so poorly recieved at the box office, the chances of us getting a sequel are slim to none. :(

INTERDICTOR. what are you talkin about man? at the end of ALIENS. the QUEEN, knew these may be her final moments, so she laid two emergency eggs, one of them another queen, so she could continue her race.

And 3 is was the most original and stylish of them all, when i first saw it, it was unlike anything i'd ever seen before. nobody could accept it, cause of f**kin CAMERON and his bigbudget above all else mentality (he still has today). don't get me wrong it's a good movie and all, but CAMERON makes sh*t. entertaining but sh*t, you can pick his movies apart in seconds.

But maybe we should save this for the ALIENS discussion FORUM...

nah...

I dislike David Fincher, Love Cameron, but that's personal taste.

You SAW Aliens right? The queen decends from the dropship (in the HANGER) tears Bishop in half, fights a powerloader, and out the airlock she goes. Never got remotely close to the hypersleep chamber. Not to mention the fact that to bed down in said chamber and ignore the eggs sitting right there in plain sight would be silly. Point one.

Two: Yes, queens lay eggs, from an ovipositor. (that big sausage looking thing she ripped from her body and left in the nest) so, no egg laying anytime soon.

Three: the Only way they could have gotten there, was for someone to return to Acheron (the actual name of the planet designated LV-426) visit the derilect ship, gather up two eggs (without themselves being impregnated) and plant them next to the chambers. Bishop (the only one physically able to get close to the eggs without being seen as a host) was damaged, and off-line. (he also had no legs. makes it hard to carry) Everyone else was already asleep and/or would never have returned willingly Ie: Hicks or Newt. The single other remote possibility is that the company had been shadowing the team, and were the ones to do the deed. But why plant the eggs? They would simply keep them. (as we see, in 3 they are still very anxious to have a specimin)

So, sorry, Alien 3 and as an extention 4, could not have plausabily happened. (and is shoddy scriptwriting as a result.) On a related note, Aliens recieve instruction from the queen by pheramones/telepathy/ other unknown biological means. Any drone, alone without a queens' signal, will go into a metamorphic state and become a viable queen itself. All eggs / facehuggers are biologically the same as one another.

I'm sure that's way more about Aliens than most Max fans give a frosted fart about, but I'm nearly as passionate on the subject as Mad Max, and I warned you, don't get me started on Alien3!

Lost <------------ But that's no surprise.

My only complaint with Aliens 3 & 4 is that they were too sappy. But I watch them.

Terminator, yea! Too bad Max never thought of saying "I'll be bah-ck!"

Sure but the first Alien had realism, which is rare in sci-fi these days...

The Alien saga, Terminator and Terminator2, Back to the Future, Predator, Big Trouble in Little China, and of course...Mad Max and Mad Max 2 are the best of the best.

You speed maniacs have seen the 1971 movie Vanishing Point? not a sci-fi film, but I think that it's one of the best road movies ever made.
