I'm mostly concerned about the sound track. No singing pop culture BS, please. Brian May's music from Mad Max and Road Warrior is brilliant. They've gotta find somebody who can put together a soundtrack along the same lines as May.
The only big star I want to see in Fury Road is Mel Gibson. Throw in some little known actors and people from the original Mad Max and I'll be very happy.

probably gonna be no water left, so probably no bridges, though it'd be cool to see one do a flip over an old superbridge landing 'poof' into the dried up sandy leftovers of an ocean, showing the wreck of a ship (comeon theres always one- TANKGIRL, WATERWORLD, ESCAPE FROM LA), and barrels, skeletons, wrecks of cars...

my one main criticism of american films is a prepondrance of pompous music.
its as if no frame can be unaccompanied by a mood setting note.
mm1 has lots of silences. punctuated by motors.
perfect silent moment. the setup when max is shot in teh leg by bubbas broomstick mauser c96.

thats the coolest things about the MAX's, they got no music in the important scenes, check out how the saxaphone stops as max reaches for the piece of fruit in THUNDERDOME, so we hear weapons, grunts and screams.
and in MAD MAX 2 the opening music stops when max goes to swerve round that block in the road, doesn't pick up again till he slambs on the breaks, and even then you barely know it's playing, cause it's intrusive , the low hum as max taps the fuel tank of the truck, it's creepy, if you haven't seen it before you feel like something is gonna happen, something bad.

I think it's just lazy if the director uses the music to control the emotions of the audience it's what's happening up on screen that should count more and you should not even notice the music.
I really hate the stock hollywood music, it all sounds the same. Don't get me wrong as it is perfect for some films like John Williams' Star Wars...
Mad Max uses a lot of ominous, threatening, moody music which I like

yeah music is cool, in movies, works real well in big budget bullsh*t, cameron/bruckheimer movies, just don't f**k with the MAX's.

'the low hum as max taps the fuel tank of the truck'.
He's tapping the steps of the Truck not the fuel tank.
But I agree, excellent use of sound. Similar to the sound of the tanks rumbling into the town in final scenes of 'Saving Prvate Ryan'.
