Nelson,
Thanks for the tip, I have bid as far as I am willing to go on the can opener and tool belt stuff. Is that can opener that hard to find? Where is it from?
On the MFP badge, I can make those, at least cheaper, if not better (looks like a plastic button, I would make an enameled metal pin). Is anyone making the "Bronze" badge in actuall bronze? Does anyone know if this is custom or from some law enforcement?

I don't think anybody is really making the MFP winged badges anymore (except for the extrememly expensive Japanese Clothing Branch). Their badge is real nice looking but it costs $250 US. I've been looking into some metallic finishes for my badges but they are expensive and I haven't picked any up yet. I most likely will soon. I couldn't really use it with my current molds, though. The powder is meant to be brushed into the mold and then the poured resin will take in the powdr and give the it the desired sheen. My molds are filled with air bubbles and every badge needs half an hour of tending before it can be ready. Most of the metallic finish would be scraped off. Enough of my problems. I saw that round MFP target badge as well. It's not complicated at all, I'm going to make some cheap for everybody who doesn't want to pay $40.00 and up for a button! Maybe not glazed metal but at least regular buttons like campaign buttons. If not that then the design under a clear coat of resin on a piece of round plastic. That's what the ebay badge looked like. I don't know what'll happen.

I would be willing to make an offer to anyone who has a badge design that is virtually indistinguishable from the film version....... I have several friends who work in bronze (statuary mostly) but I think they could make a casting and pour a few for me, I just would need an original to pull a mold from. Anyway maybe a finished bronze badge or 3 for an original to make the casting from? who knows....

Well, Looks like I won the mad max belt tools.... probably paid WAY too much. $30 for a can opener!!! I hope its really rare and Im not waseing $$. Looks like the firemans tools are early 70's not late 70's and have minor diffrences, can anyone tell me if I wasted my time and money? I think only the most learned MM fans would notice any diffrence, but I'LL KNOW if its not exact.......Oppinions?

Do you have pics of the belt tools? Send them over and I'll take a look at them. My badges aren't really like the movie badges. I wish they were but whatever comes from my hand into the clay is what gets molded. If you REALLY want a few good copies get a penpal in Japan to buy for you then send to you one of those expensive bastards. Once you have their company's address send them a pipe bomb for all the max fans out there! Please don't tell me off, I'm very outspoken because I don't have oodles of money and I don't think the people with money should be the only ones with a max costume. So there.

I agree with you so I wont tell you off...... I dont have oodles of $$ either, and I have put my max costume togehter for very little (untill now). As for the tools I dont have the pix on my pc, but if you go into search at ebay.au and search mad max tools in completed items, i think they will be there still. They are a little diffrent, the spanner is the same shape, but a little rougher surface (pouch is a bit old and cracked), the axe pouch has a pointed tab instead pof being triangular, and I think the axe in the movie had a pointed metal extension on the handel, where the one in the auction has a rounded one. They are early 70's I think not late 70's. I suppose youd have to be very observant to notice (and a big max fan), but I will know.

Has anyone taken a look at the tools I posted up on the Mad Max 2 costume page? They are Max2's. MFP1, I would love to get some pics of your tools and maybe post them up in the costume section.
