Look up the Vauxhall Chevette HS - a rally homologation special ... they were pretty seriously fun!
Also, here "hatchback" doesn't have the same negative connotations as elsewhere

I'm familiar with the HS. I like the Droopsnoots.
It's not that 'hatchback' is a bad word, it's just the only Chevette/Kadett C bodystyle anyone here knows. There were several more that would have been interesting to see on our roads. The Opel-Isuzu came in a fastback and four door sedan.
