Look up the Vauxhall Chevette HS - a rally homologation special ... they were pretty seriously fun!

I'm familiar with the HS. I like the Droopsnoots.
It's not that 'hatchback' is a bad word, it's just the only Chevette/Kadett C bodystyle anyone here knows. There were several more that would have been interesting to see on our roads. The Opel-Isuzu came in a fastback and four door sedan.

What we should have had (up to 120hp and about 2000lbs, better power to weight ratio than my old 70 Mustang with a 302 v8):
