It's untouched and as bolted up as ever  I tried to get a shot of the hilarious placard with all his claims to the car's pedigree, it's Hemi Ford engine etc. but...craptastic phone.

Now that Fury Road is happening, I wonder if we'll have a whole new crop of fake movie cars to contend with?

Car 17 isnt "good quality" yet he continues to crap on about his car after so many years.

What worries me is that any old "rat rod" or other shit box will be claimed as being from the movie. or will be a "spare" car... or was used in a "cut scene"
There is little chance of being able to replicate most of the movie cars due to the complexity of all of them.

With the extreme number and variety of cars in FR it would be hard for most people to know if a car is real or not. Thankfully we know where the best source for MM facts is for proof.
Looks like Peter will have his hands full updating the website movie car / replicar pages.

I wasn't saying car 17 is a good build, I was saying fakes for FR would have to be pretty good builds to fool people...

I think you missed my point....

Car 17 is a heap of shit..... its fooled plenty of people (those people who have seen mad max but aren't very knowledgeable)

A fake fury road car wont need to be well made or even closed to anything used in the film. People tend to believe bullshit too easily and will thrown money at something if the claim is grand enough

well, that and that it's still there when i get a chance to go to miami.

The original car is still in Miami. Still guarded with 24 hr. video monitoring.

Go see it. It's worth the trip.
