Umm... er.... where did you get the five wives are not all females and some are males????mw4tkn wrote:Some more details here - Confirmation of Hugh Keays-Byrne playing a different role. The wives are male not in fact all of the super models.
"Mad Max: Fury Road" also stars Nicholas Hoult ("X-Men: First Class") as Nux; Hugh Keays-Byrne ("Mad Max," "Sleeping Beauty") as Immortan Joe; and Nathan Jones ("Conan the Barbarian") as Rictus Erectus. Collectively known as The Wives, Zoe Kravitz ("X-Men: First Class") plays Toast, Riley Keough ("Magic Mike") is Capable, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley ("Transformers: Dark of the Moon") is Splendid. They are joined by supermodel Abbey Lee Kershaw as The Dag and Courtney Eaton as Fragile, both of whom are making their big screen debuts. Also featured in the movie are Josh Helman as Slit, Jennifer Hagan as Miss Giddy, and singer/songwriter/performer iOTA as Coma-Doof Warrior.

Re: Movie Synopsis
What I find odd is that they seem to be saying that Max and Furiosa are working together. It seemed from some of the earlier word on the story was that she was a/the villain. Who knows...

And one of the earliest FR "leaks" was about Max being some kind of villain. Food for thought?boomerang wrote:What I find odd is that they seem to be saying that Max and Furiosa are working together. It seemed from some of the earlier word on the story was that she was a/the villain. Who knows...

Re: Movie Synopsis
By translation I meant from the words spoken by George Miller to paper or whatever format it was recorded on to article , not a word that gets used a lot ay some reporters might like to Google a bit lolL88 wrote:I do like a good fur burger myself! Re: Movie Synopsis
It seems like the Word Burger bit is possibly translated from a spanish speaking site. Maybe the interview was spoken in english, translated into spanish then back to english. My google searching hasn't come up with much except explanations of the German 'burger'....as in "Burgermeister Meisterburger" (for those that get the reference). 'Burg' being town, like 'Hamburg'....Meister being the equivalent of Mayor.
Nope, not much out there as to what it could be...unless Miller is throwing out red herrings for the trained seals.

It was a press release from Kennedy Miller Mitchell. This was the signature at the bottom.DetritusMaximus wrote:It seems like the Word Burger bit is possibly translated from a spanish speaking site.
Dozens of movie sites printed the release as is, and many likely obtained it independently through official channels. It's not a translation or transcription issue. Much like Thunderdome, the language is part of the 'world building' Miller has done for the franchise's reincarnation.CONTACTS : Kennedy Miller Mitchell // Fury Road Rachael Gill Swakopmund, Namibia M: +264 (0) 811 426 727 [email protected]
