What I found in Oregon

Post by PursuitSpecial »

On our Honeymoon trip and randomly spotted this just off the highway in Oregon State (USA) sitting all alone and looking abandoned with a bunch of RVs in a parking lot...

Sadly that is just an plain V8 XC ute..... there was never a GT when the XC was built... nor any GT utes in any of the X series falcons.
The only thing which is from the GT is the XB bonnet.

But amazing where old Ford Falcons show up these days
We are 100% snafu....

Wow, that's a pretty damn cool roadside find though. Did you ask what it's doing there or if it was for sale? Considering the rarity of an XC ute in the US, it's amazing that it's found it's way to being parked up and clearly unloved. Looks to be in ok condition to, average for an old ute, but very restorable. Good chance you'd pick it up for less than the price of the import costs.

Here is what that ute looked like in better times...

And it was a 302C and single rail 4 speed..

Yep, I had brought it here...just was a "fill" car in the container as I am not really into Fords... traded it to a guy I knew for a first gen Camaro project car from memory?

Not really all that rare...guy who got it from me just let it lay around too. Had brought over a yellow XB ute once too, and the guy who bought it never treated it all much better from what I heard either, so who knows.

They are only fords, so no big deal, ha ha...

Wow, what a small world. When was it brought to the US?
