Im not mechanically minded in the slightest, but does the surfrod car look as if a propeller attached to it possibly?
Also looking at the Lorry/Trailer in the background it looks like an alternate version of the RW rig...is there the possibility that we might see a flash back sequence depicting Max's adventures in MM, RW & BTD for the newer cinema audience to familiarise themselves with Max before we settle into FR and get the continuation from BTD that we die hards
Also stumbled upon this when I googled McCarthys Freakwave.....it might explain why there seems to be a few hotrod style vehicles in the film.
That 2nd photo looks like they are setting up for a rock fall / landslide , I wonder if this is for a scene that described to me a while back ...
I saw lots of cars , bikes , semi trailers , monster trucks all MM2 style , they seem be using lots of old vintage stuff with Model T / old Ford Mercury looking cars but of course with massive V8's in them , my source tells me that they all have real motors in them this time and a lot of cash has been spent on building them , one car is a converted off - road racer that cost over 100 grand to build and " glides like a bullet through the scrub " he said.
He also remarked there was to be no " jap crap " cars in the movie except for one in the beginning that gets destroyed by a giant boulder
The silver monster truck is definately the one I seen in the video doing jumps and I think some of the strange attachments to some cars might be camera rigs as I heard quite a few of the actual movie vehicles will be used for filming

Theron-looking photo - train stunt men
The hunt has begun: If you can first see the stars who are in the latest "Mad Max" movie here? Already received several requests from international media that photos of Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy are looking for Swakopmund - and paid well for it.
But the competent production company Moonlighting Filmmakers Namibia shrouded still in silence, and will give no information is known. However, currently circulating in Swakopmund many rumors about the stars and the film. So shall the production company responsible to pay a monthly rent of 75,000 Namibian dollars for the house in Swakopmund, lives in the actor Tom Hardy. Whether this is true is debatable. Fact: Moonlighting has booked many guest houses and farms and pays significantly more than the normal rates apply. This was confirmed by AZ several times. In Swakopmund currently some small pink vans can be seen that anywhere in the city are on the road.
For large riots have taken care of employees from the film even with environmentalists. Very strangely, the incident is from last Friday, when three alleged stunt men on the gravel plains in the dune belt between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay are running around. This event was confirmed by Charles Pearce, AZ Desert Explorers in the conversation. He got on that date, an indication that would be "people in the breeding area of the Damara Tern" harm. "I have searched the men and found three people who ran up and down a sand dune and were running around on the gravel plains," said Pearce. The men had declared their behavior this way: They are stuntmen, appearing in "Mad Max" movie and would have to practice for their respective roles. In addition, they must lose weight to look like a certain star. "I have accompanied people from the area and issued a warning. They did not seem that their behavior is not allowed, "said Pearce.
The shooting of the movie "Mad Max: Fury Road will" have already begun. Still be in Swakopmund and trucks seen that are "abnormal" (extra wide) labeled and transported strange vehicles - mainly to the north. The company had recently ads pointed out that certain roads during the filming, which will last until November, were closed: Here are the routes D1991 (through the lunar landscape), D1984 (the road behind the dunes between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay) and D1983 (after Homeb along the Kuiseb Rivier) called. The company apologizes for the restrictions.
Been waiting to see what this beasty would be haulin. It certainly completes the hobbled together look better than some we've seen. Having two built usually means it will be featured in screen time. I'm looking forward to seeing these vehicles in action.
