UK replicas

Post by Mad Max 2050 »

HI

I'd like to hear from anyone in the UK who is building or has built their own replica.

I'm thinking about doing one my self, so any hints/tips, from builders would be cool

Cheers!

Hi Mad Max 2050 , Adrian UK and all other fans

Adrian , I was wondering what base car are you using or have you got the real thing?

I admit I thought of building a replica but time and lack of money stopped that idea

in its tracks!

So, am I the third UK based ,web posting Mad MAx fan or are there more out there?

I'm gone

I've used the real thing, the whole project has been expensive but well worth it. i'm near completion just the blower and wheels and it's ready to rock and roll, i'll send some updated pics to peter as soon as their developed.

i'll have to check all the UK fans but i think there's a good few.

good to here from you Ducks Guts.

i hope there's more fans in the uk who take the plunge and import some aussie muscle it would be nice to have a few more falcons land on these shores.

one of the most off putting factors for many wanting to import is the amount that customs take in import duty, i still can't understand how they work it out, it appears you get taxed on tax then taxed again. i have to say though, now i look at the interceptor project nearly finished it was worth handing over my hard earned cash .

let me know Phil if you get a purchase from the UK.

Adrian,

Are you also interested in meeting XC Cobra owners and XW/Y Falcon owners?

Phil,

my interest in the falcon in general has grown over the last 12 months, if i had the chance to speak with and even meet with owners of any model of falcon in this country it would be an added bonus.

i know there are quite a number of aussie vehicles over here but just how many falcons there are i've no idea but would be very interested to find out.
