Berserker Jacket

Post by Deaths Head »

Well I finally got my coat back from the shop with a new liner and now I just have to have the front double breast style flap attached to my Berserker jacket. Just need to pick up and old suitable bike helmet and paint it too. New ones are too much to waste and I can't use any of my nice ones cus they were too pricey $$$. Still need to dig up some crickey shinpads. I hear they all com in white so they must have been spray painted like all the footbal shoulder pads. Cod peice could be found in a sport store too or custom made at leather shop I guess. Well nice to be back any ways. Deaths Head Berserker.....

Hey instead of painting those shinguards black, try getting Duplicolor's "Truck Bedliner Coating"

This works better than paint, is more durable, and looks like hammered iron.

Plus its about the price of paint! Try it.

Still Havent Finished the front flap or epauletes (sp) but was trying to locate a chain and an old bike helmet + shindpads. Have been spending money on bikes lately so soon I will get back at this. I am also doing a smegma crazie outfit too so this is slowing me down a little.

Hey does that paint stick? I have trouble with my Max shoulderpad, cuz the black is always getting scratched up, (well more realistic anyway). I havre seen wrist crossbows in the sporting goods shops around here, never tryed saking what type the movie ones are though.

Anyone know if the "dart guns" (ie the pistol that shoots wez in the arm (looks like a dartgun) and more importantly the 5 barrel things on the cobra towtruck and the moatjump car, are real or F/X mockups?

As for the paint well I haven't tried yet, but I would buy a nice rust paint 6-10 dollar range, then sand the plastic lightly to rough it up and add about 2-3 layers of paint. There is 2 ways to paint. Let each layer dry then sand lightly between coats or wait untill it is tacky and add more. Use what works best. As for the arrow guns in the film I don't know but I have made one like the Berserkers use (Landau and Monaro guy on roof of the Mack. It will fire single arrows. As for multi shot do you mean the tow truck or the one in the Landau at the first. The tow truck is obviously four barrels but the one at the first of the movie has six jammed in one barrel and only one hits Wez the rest miss him. Wristbows in sporting store? Where is this where I live mini cross bows are now illegal so they are harder to find now but like switchblades and butterfly knives you can still find em here and there. I will likely fabricate my own like the mini dart gun.

First of all I don't mean to be argumentative but I think that if you look really carefully Wez shoots himself in the arm while trying to get a shot off at Max's car which by then has slammed the breaks on. It all happens very quickly but I think that the shot(s) from the landau coming at Wez cause him to through his arm back in the direction of a breaking interceptor. After all Wez replaces the arrow out of his arm back into the holder on his own leg where there is an empty place for it.

But most of all I need help getting a replica Landau together and naturally a G.B. Berserka outfit to go with it for when I cruise the car in the city on the weekends. Can anyone please help me with specifications of either or (close-up) pictures any help really appreciated. So far I think I know the whereabouts of at least two Landau's to buy.

Peter plans to post a section devoted to Scott's Landau replica shortly. ( he is understandably busy after the festivities) keep your eyes out for it.

Hey Death's head, is the chain kind of different looking with links that are figure-8's twisted around a quarter of the way? If so, I've got about five feet of it in my shop. And spray paint will work fine on the nylon cloth material of the shinguards. I had a nylon flack vest that I painted all black and it worked wonderfully, didn't even stay tacky like paint usually does on fabric. I imagine since it's plastic fiber instead of natural it doesn't absorbe whatever chemical that makes it dry. If you really want the job done you can buy some clothing dye and soak them in that. You might have a problem with it running though. I just typed up a long essay under "vermin, grods, and villians" about where I believe you could get a bunch of the stuff.
