Re: Street Machine Magazine
Dunno where to put this.
http://www.theage.com.au/national/melbo ... 1o194.htmlTerry O'Hare has built it all, from Mad Max cars to teapots.
[snip]
Let's start with the first Mad Max movie — he built many of the crazy vehicles in that Aussie cult classic. "I got a royalty cheque for $13,000 this year," says O'Hare, who chipped in $10,000 for the original budget.

Got my copy yesterday, interesting read ! and a nice poster too, just wondered where he's hid his seat belts, does'nt seem to have the coupe hangers from the roof lineing or stalks by the console.
The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take you ten minutes to hack through it with this, now if your lucky ? you can hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go !

From all the stories I was told no one got any royalities.... not even the actors
We are 100% snafu....
Re: Street Machine Magazine
Hmmmmm...the article reads that the Scott injector that was borrowed was never returned....Murray Smith told me different.
At least this magazine did not claim this car to be the 'ultimate replica'..... I've emailed AMC several times asking why they made this claim....still no answer.... surprised, nope.
Don't get me wrong, it's a well done car

Thanks for posting these scans! Would it be annoying of me if I asked you to post slightly larger or higher resolution scans? I'm having a hard time reading them at their current size/dots per inch.roadwarriormfp wrote:Scan of the article on Peter Arcadiapane

But what was Murray's story on the Scott injector?
So those two shots of the white XB GT hardtop are infact the BOB Pursuit Special used in the film?
Any other inaccuracies published?
