Re: Javelin Interceptor
Hope you're planning on doing something about the Oiling system on her (Assuming it's an AMC V-8) It's a bit problematic on those.
go to bulltear.com for more info.
Had to let my '73 go not long ago & put the proceeds towards my Home.
Planning on an '05 to '09 Mustang as my next car, but someday plan on another Javvie for a Noisemaker.

Tanks
Found the right look finally.. I ended up using an old LP tank , they are just sitting in there for now, i still need to fabricate the mounts, weld them up and install a fuel cell inside one of them and plumb it where i can fill it using the flip open lids,

Re: Javelin Interceptor
it's coming out very well and should make an interesting car once up and running. The tanks really look the part and i'd be cool if you can put a fuel cell inside it to make them 'functional' in some way.

Re: Javelin Interceptor
Great work, man! That car is looking MEAN!!!
Can you tell us more about those tanks? How big they are, where you found them, etc?
I'm looking forward to seeing how you turn them into 'real' tanks!
I'm going to start looking into an American Interceptor, too...
Thanks for sharing,

Re: Javelin Interceptor
tank was 6ft long and 18 inches round I cut it in half to get two, going to install a small 12~15 gallon tank inside with filler neck attached to big tanks, they are very heavy'''---,,,
thanks for all comments its slow process but fun

Re: Javelin Interceptor
Hey Rusty.Looks like its coming together man.I have a comment in my thread that may help you on the tail lights---I am going to use '69 Pontiac Lemans/GTO units. The biggest difference I see is chrome trim around them, but is easily removed. They aren't exact, cause they have back up lenses where the Interceptor's doesn't,but they look very close.Hope this helps. It's lookin good--waiting to see the finished product.
