Post Apocalyptic party at Gen Con

Hey everyone,
There is a company who is releasing a post apocalyptic game called Wasteland, and they will be promoting it at Gen Con this August. The afternoon/night of Saturday August 5th they are going to have a huge outdoor post apocalyptic party to celebrate. They got in touch with Karol (Wasteland Weekend Organizer) about some possible cooperation, and he in turn got me in touch with them. Long story short, they want me to bring my Humungus Machine and loads of costumes there to help promote things. So, come August, I'm heading down there. They are being very generous with tickets, gas $$$, and hotel prices.

If there is anyone else in the region who wants to attend or bring their own vehicles/costumes, get in touch with me! I think it's going to be a great time!

Gen Con takes place in Indianapolis, Indiana. It's a three day gaming convention, and this year it is August 4-7. http://www.gencon.com/

You can find all the details about Gen Con in the link I posted above. The party/promotion for their game will be at Military Park in Indianapolis. It will start up the afternoon of Saturday the 5th, and they said it will most likely run until 2am. They will be serving beer etc until midnight; after that it's illegal to sell alcohol. But, they will be giving away beer in a special tent that you have to buy a special pass to get into. They will have a DJ, dancing... you know, a party.

They asked me about bringing as many costume items as I could, so I think there will be at least some people in post apocalyptic attire. I know I will be!

Well, the party is out. I'm not entirely sure what went down, but they aren't having the party. They are still promoting the game, and my Machine will be on display the whole time at the convention center along with their models wearing my stuff.

Aww. Sorry to hear the party is canceled. Well, at least they still want your vehicle and they will get people to wear your costumes. That's still pretty cool.

Well like I said, the party was cancelled. I gather their sponsors pulled out. Then there was a problem with them allowing The Machine inside the building. So that didn't happen. But what did happen was I got to wear my Road Warrior and Bartertown Guard costumes, and loan out other costume stuff for the OHMS Gaming Girls to help promote their game. At the end of the convention, I drove up in The Machine and picked everyone up, then circled the place. As usual, it's a great time driving my Machine!

Was in the GenCon halls (free areas)all weekend and missed everything Defiantly need to pay more attention to the boards from now on.
