Casting for Fury Road

Post by PacificMuscle »

I have just spoken with a casting agent regarding another job ... they are unable to take it on because they are too busy with Gatsby and Mad Max.

That's got to be good news as the previous delays would mean that many of the cast may no longer be available.

I can't imagine that they would be actively recasting if production were not immenent as it is an expensive and time consuming process.

Let me know if they need extras - I think my agent is useless.

It's either that or I park the BigBopper outside Mr Millers house with a big sign on it asking for a part :-)

Well, this isn't great!

Found out, though, that I have a friend who works at Dr. D's... Maybe I'll infiltrate yet...

When they were shooting Blues Brothers II, John Landis actually invited fans to appear in the movie. The Melbourne Blues Brothers had a few appearances in it. You can also hear him talking about them on the making of BBII. Basically, he said they we so enthusiastic and crazy.

Wouldn't it be nice if Dr Miller extended the same courtesy to his fans of Mad Max?

'Cause it seems he's working on something other than a penguin movie. Gee, I wonder what it might be?

Carriage works at Redfern. And I spot someone I know in the picture. Funny, the movie/tv industry is a small world and you keep meeting the same people when you work in it.
