Need ideas for Mad Max parade fun

Post by HUMVEE Driver »

I am heading up the Mad Max portion of the annual DragonCon parade in Atlanta, and a few people are looking for some things we can do as marauders. Things like dragging a heckler (planted of course) out of the crowd and taking his gas can, chaining up prisoners to the back of the Humungus Machine, etc.

So I thought, who better to chime in than the best Mad Max fans on the planet?!? Any cool ideas?

Well you have the Amazon warrior babes well represented. That's mandatory. How about doing some "tribal" groups.
See if folks with similar themes might group together in gangs, shmegmas, bad cops, and such.

I took me a while to realise there is a car in the picture. It's almost like one of those 3d pictures that you need to stare at for hours before seeing it....why can't I get girls like that near my car *sigh*

It takes a lot of time, work, and luck, my friend. But as you can see, it's all worth it!

Defiantly glad to see you are making the trip again. The only suggestion I have is you should put a donation can on the hood to help offset your expenses.

Lemme know if you need any organizational help since I'll be there (and not spur of the moment like last year).. otherwise ya, I think a tipjar would be a good idea, I'd pitch in since I know how far you have to haul The Machine, and if nothing else, I want to help make sure you keep coming back to DCon :]

Unfortunately as far as parade ideas, nothing additional to what has already been said is coming to mind.. if there is enough of each clan or whatnot, grouping them by that would be visually nice. I'd suggest a staged street brawl, but it'd be tough to keep it 'authentically mad max' and street safe at the same time.. unless there's some stage choreographers in the lineup? Perhaps a Water Seller (alla thunderdome) ? I'd say more vehicles would be fun, but unless there is someone local or already planning on bringing something, it's beyond possible at this point :/
[maybe in the future I'll make a changed-out body for my kit car..]

THAT made me laugh! Very true!

I suppose if you googled 'Brittany Love' you might find some more information about her... I won't guarantee it's safe for work...

Uncle Drax, I'm looking forward to seeing you again! I should be ok with The Machine; I've pretty much got it down to a science by now. But I appreciate the offer!

BlownV8, here you go!

Mate WEZ was chained on the humungas machine, that might get a votes from the crowd
The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take you ten minutes to hack through it with this, now if your lucky ? you can hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go !
