I reluctantly ordered their MM2 jacket knowing there spotty field record, however they really are the only ones I know of that sell the darn thing. Anyway after about two weeks I get a package from them and I was so excited! That is until I opened it and found a frickn red Superman jacket, I don't even like Superman! (Sorry Superman sucks, Batman is way cooler) Anyway, I contacted them and explained the situtation and they asked me to send it to the correct person and I would be reimbursed for the cost. My wife said "Don't do it until they pay you" and of course as always she was right.
I thought what the hell, I'll try and do the right thing and mail it so I can hurry up and get the right one. So I waited another two weeks and nothing.... So now I had to file a claim with ebay and all that crap and after waiting another week I get my refund, and guess what "minus the the money I paid to mail their F@#K-up" What a bunch of pricks!

Wait, so they asked you to mail it to the correct person and you did, and then you waited another two weeks and nothing.
Does that mean they haven't paid you for shipping the superman jacket to the guy, or haven't sent you the MM2 jacket or both? Or were they going to pay you for sending the jacket to the Superman guy and refund you the MM2 jacket?
What was your last email correspondence with them? Have they given you any information or just not gotten back to you?
You may want to work things out with them before you go through eBay. It could be easier and faster (and your best bet of getting your shipping money back).
I'm asking because in my experience they do sometimes make mistakes but they've always been pretty willing to correct them. Sometimes correcting mistakes and shipping products does take them a few weeks because most of their goods ship from Pakistan and sometimes get caught up in customs.
And yes, their stuff is made in Pakistan and usually ships from their. That's why it's so damn cheap.
I know they've had mixed reviews, and I've had a problem or two with them in the past but it's always been cleared up and overall I still order from them with confidence (considering the savings). I've bought five jackets and 5 pairs of paints from them and only had to send two of those ten items back for corrections.
I hope your situation can get resolved because, as you said, they are the only ones that currently make an MM2 jacket

They never responded to my emails after I asked for a tracking# Ebay for once came through, apparently the jacket was never even mailed a month later according to ebay so they promptly refunded me the money after they found this out. I would have waited longer for the jacket if South Beach had simply just emailed me with some sort of legitimate information. And yes, I was never refunded for the cost of shipping to their customer and the lunch hour I spent going to the post office. They never emailed a explanation or even an apology. I honestly am at a loss for words as far as their customer service goes, well I take that back, I do have a few choice words for them but they would not be appropriate for the board. There just a bunch of lying ass clowns.
All I can say is if anyone buys from them make sure to use a credit card for payment and don't wait longer than 30 days to file a claim if things don't work out. Most fraud protection plans are limited to 30 days, otherwise it turns into a bigger hassel.
I'm now looking into other options, but it's gonna cost 3 times as much to have a custom one made.
Hm, when they say "we are waiting for tracking" - does that mean they are waiting to give you tracking info for the jacket they supposedly sent to you? Or that they are waiting for you to provide them the tracking info for the superman jacket you resent?
I assume you gave them that tracking info? Because if not, I could see them not wanting to send you reimbursement money for shipping until they had some proof that you had indeed sent it on.
As far as protecting yourself online, paypal gives you 45 days in which to open a dispute to get your money back for items that don't arrive so I always just use paypal (well, I know it's 45 days for overseas stuff, maybe it's 30 for domestic). And paypal refunds your money to your paypal account instantly if the seller can't prove they delivered the item.

There was a jacket that Humvee Driver found a while back that wasn't a bad MM2 jacket after some modification, and I think it was cheap. Do a search in this forum for it.

To follow up on the previous email, you had aske a number on the collar of the wrong Jacket I got. The number on the collar is Y-2889
I deleted the persons personal info for obvious reasons. Honestly J I don't know what the heck there deals is, they never got back to be to let me know. I really wanted the jacket and gave them every chance to make it right, I don't know what else I could have done. I went on good will about the shipping thing and they even screwed me on that. Don't know what else to say, other than my experience sucked big time.
Yes I gave them all the tracking info and I even mailed it the very next day. Yeah, I got my money but I would have rather had the jacket.

Thanks Humvee Driver, yes that is a very good jacket. Actually for anyone looking there is one on ebay right now for $150 item#220737948701, it's the wrong size for me otherwise I would buy it. I'm finding that that jacket is not very common either, so I'll have to be patient and keep looking.
No other source that I know of (at least no affordable source, you can always pay a lot and have a pair custom made).
As I said earlier, I've bought 5 jackets and 5 pairs of paints from them and only had to send two of those ten items back for corrections. And those corrections were taken care of for no charge except that I did have to pay shipping one way. So no, they're not perfect, and some people have had pretty bad experiences, but I myself have been pretty happy with their service and the price, so I'm willing to roll the dice.
