Weird audio on Thunderdome DVD?

Ever since deciding to make a Bartertown costume, I've played my old VHS of Thunderdome almost every night. I've almost got the damn show memorized.

Now that I'm fooling with the DVD, I noticed there is a strange voice during the title card, just as Tina's "One of the Living" gets going. I thought I was hearing things, but I played it over and over. Has anyone else noticed this? I'll have to try it on a real DVD player when I'm done encoding it. It's a bit lame since I kind of like the intro song!

yip,noticed it too... i reckoned it was to make the song a bit more atmospheric.the voice is a bit creepy
