Cool Find!

Post by Aviator »

This is my first post here, I am new to posting, as I have visited here recently to browse around and pique an interest I have had for many years. I just had to share this awesome find I literally stumbled upon at a recent car show boot sale. I have pictured all the items I got together, as immediately I knew what they all were representative of! The guy had a complete blower setup with what looked to be the same setup as on the Interceptor! I could only afford what I have pictured here :( The man selling these things when asked said he just wanted rid of it all, and was selling to the best offers. I just plain out offered a price I felt was reasonable for all of the 8 items pictured and he said "Done" no bartering, nothing!

and that was it!! As far as I can tell the fuel gages are the rare type "Dobros" originals made to look like the car ones! I was, and am still pretty excited with my find Lol!

An interesting add also is that there was a group of guy's milling around this guy's stall, laughing at the blower he had, saying where's the bug catcher? And that would never work. I remember he got a bit pissed off and said it's not supposed to work, then he asked me if I'd like to help him shove the damn thing up their arses! I dont know if he ended up selling it, he had boxes of car mags and bits and pieces which i now wish I had gone through!

More bits coming back to me as I remember from what the guy told me..It wasn't much, but I remarked about how new these things all looked for old items, and how was it possible? He said all the switches were new old stock, as were the gauges, he reckoned he had many more, but had sold a few others, and sent back a box of them to where they came from? These aparrently were his last ones, and the best of them all. Damn! I really wish I could go back to the day and rummage through his other stuff now!!! :(

The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take you ten minutes to hack through it with this, now if your lucky ? you can hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go !
