The infamous car #17 2005

Post by roadwarriormfp »

Found these old pictures of car #17...

For those new members who don't know, this fellow has made claims that his car was a "stunt car", one of dozens made for MM2. Kinda dissappeared of the internet but seems to have appeared at least until 2005 somewhere in Colorado.

...sorta slow motion. he leaves the seat, goes through the windscreen, headfirst straight into the tree...right. and then, bounces back through the windscreen. by the time we got to him.. he was just sittin there trying to scream with his face ripped off......whats the matter?

Like wow,...where to start? I like the Scott injector with the rare dual 600cfm Holley carburator option. So if I bolt a Scott scoop on my lawn mower is it then fuel injected?

Its funny that it's a 1971 Coupe when the first didn't roll off the production line until 1972. Surely this guy isn't serious.

I can say all of this because I own a car from the film.
My interceptor is actually car #132 from the original film.
It's one of 200 stunt cars built for the movie.
It's even got a certificate of authenticity (which happens to be written on a pizza hut serviette)
But I know its true.

The motor is a suzuki outboard.
Kick her in the guts Barry !

I heard the motor was an industrial-grade Black & Decker aquarium pump.... The Suzuki was installed after filming was completed. I read it on the internet, so you know it's the gospel truth.
