Goose's faceguard
Does anybody have a better idea of what type of face guard Goose wore in MM1? I DO know it's a face guard a batter would wear in baseball. I just don't know what model. I've found some that are very similar but not any QUITE like his.
Re: Goose's faceguard
Details on the face guard:
"Tony D. face fender"
From a company called Full House in Cornwells Heights, PA USA
Circa 1975
I have detailed pics as well if you'd like.
Cheers!

Andy, we've identified it as a motocross face guard. I took a look at some batter guards online, but noticed they ALL have a lot of ventilation due to the fact that all they're designed to guard against is baseballs.hammerheadandy wrote:Does anybody have a better idea of what type of face guard Goose wore in MM1? Bozz is correct here in identifying one of the brand names that these guards were sold under. I also own a Tony D. Face Fender by Full House. However, I believe the design was also sold through other companies and brand names.Bozz wrote:"Tony D. face fender"

A couple of years ago, a guy named Dan started making very good fiberglass copies. You can see photos on this thread: http://madmaxmovies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7602&

We always called it an "Iron Jaw." For what that's worth.

ahh... I kept wondering. I had a friend tell me it was used in baseball as a face guard. DOH! Thanks for pointing that out!
