I have made a rudimentary plan for myself that looks like this:

Sat 12 March
- Prep car for trip. Maybe remove rear seats in coupe for more storage and that roadwarrior look. hehehehe.
Sun 13 March - Depart and travel to Mildura Victoria (meet up with Donut Dale?)
(If Cruzn' and cob115 are heading up from South Australia around that time and coming via the 'Sturt Hwy', possibly make Mildura the rendezvous point for us southerners)

Mon 14 March- Head north along route 79 'silver city hwy' to Broken Hill. The next 5 days and nights become a blur.....lol
Tue 15 March - visiting locations, sightseeing and automotive mayhem.
Wed 16 March - visiting locations, sightseeing and automotive mayhem.
Thu 17 March - visiting locations, sightseeing and automotive mayhem.
Fri 18 March- visiting locations, sightseeing and automotive mayhem.

Sat 19 March - Travel between Broken Hill and Mildura
Sun 20 March - Travel Between Mildura and Rutherglen

I will add in a 'Friday 11 March - Pickup 'the armourer' if you arrive in Australia via Melbourne.

"Automotive mayhem",..heh,heh,heh,........I like that. Remind me to tell ya'll about the time a buddy threw a 360 SB Mopar flywheel at a Firebird at 50 mph. Anyways, I'm working on it at this end, Brad. I love a good road trip. ;)

Broken Hill Area & Accommodation Info

For those of you looking for more about the region for next year or just in general.....
The Broken Hill tourist info centre can provide a very generous information pack upon request.
It's free and fast with mine arriving in a couple of days.

Order one here:
http://www.visitbrokenhill.com.au/broch ... lcontent=Y
You specify your country so I assume they post internationally.

The website itself has good info but the pack they send is better and comes with a very detailed accommodation 'lift-out' covering everything from the resorts, to working sheep stations right down to camping in the dust.

Those were some wild times, Brad. The mid-late 1980's. We were campaigning Dodge Wedge power hot and heavy. A free-breathing raised-deck in front of a bulletproof reverse-manual Flite, a Sure Grip diff with upper mid-range gears, hand-grooved wrinkle wall slicks, all packaged up in 3700lbs of 1968 sheet metal that had been a race car from the day it was new, named 'Godzilla'. The car was a street legend long before I bought it. I've seen a lot of wild stuff go down. It wasn't like it is today. The flywheel incident was pretty much the final word in a series of events that started with a spoiled rich punk who was sore about losing a $50 race and he pulled a .357 and tried to rob me. So we saw to it that his life was Hell for the next 3 months. I still remember his name and tag number.
This gives me an idea. How about a 'Memorable street encounters/racing stories' thread over on the Off Topic page?

I'll be coming from Sydney, and a mate might be coming up from Port Lincoln. Anyone want to try an make a route map on google maps so we'll all be able to meet up at various locations along the way?
Anyone from Sydney thinking of going? Convoy!
