As you suspected, it is not very movie correct. Which wouldn't be that big a deal if it weren't also a bit on the expensive side.

I generally recommend people search for fireman's axes on eBay UK. They tend to show up more often there, and at lower prices.
Although once in a while, a real gem will show up on eBay Australia, like the reason nearly perfectly screen accurate one that sold on there (but to give you some idea, it was the first really accurate axe I've seen on eBay Australia in about 2 years).
