Taking on any restoration will mean spending money, seeing as your building the 2 car i also would stick with what you have, why not get your self a dolly (hammer) and some panel metal and have a go your self ! stick with it and make the end result your own work, focus on one part at a time, this can be time consuming ! but at least your not waiting for a phone call from the pannel shop to say they need more money and found more problems, you will know where you are with your project each step of the way, also your not going to have it finished in a year or so, dont make dead lines, just focus on the finish and what you want out of it no matter how long it takes.

goodluck again

simon.
The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take you ten minutes to hack through it with this, now if your lucky ? you can hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go !

Yeah, recently, I was joking, that I should just spray paint the car black, drag up to the top of one of the hills around here, roll it off, and then drag it back and stick it in my front yard as a MM2 Interceptor wreck replica.

It's been a while since I posted, but this past weekend I made some "progress", if you will. It sounds stupid, but I recently bought an 8'x8' shed for my back yard. This allowed me to unload all of the dismantled Falcon parts into the shed and out of my garage. So now, all I have in the garage is the shell of the Falcon and the patch panels. I still need to pull the motor and drop the trans, but I am going to put that off until I can afford to send it to the media blaster. Basically, I made some serious space. I can now look at the car without getting frustrated by the fact that I have no room to even work on it, if I wanted to. :) I can't just look at it and get frustrated with all the work that needs to be done. :?

I've done a lot of thinking back and forth about selling my coupe, and I honestly just don't think I have the heart to get rid of the car right now. At least not without a better car inline.

I will still entertain offers if any come in, but right now I think I am going to stick with it. This year I have way too many financial obligations to begin the project, but I hope to get it blasted around X-mas time and then start working on the body restoration shortly thereafter.

Sorry I haven't posted much on the forum lately. I try not to spend a lot of time on the computer after work, and a few months back the company I work for decided this site should be on the "block list". So, technically I can't get to this forum at work.

A little shed can sure be handy ! I've got an 11' x 13' in the back yard for storing stuff as well. Aside from a bunch of Oz Valiant sheet metal, I've kept the fenders and hood off the Torana in there while working on it. It's just about done now, so all the front clip can go back on now. 8-)

If i was you id get me a 110 welder and some sheet metal oh and tin snips, some POR15 and start patching things up on that car what better time to practice welding! Then move up to a better equipment as time goes on and you figure out just what youll need to hone your skills.
