I beg to differ....

Chris,
Yes, my car is a Mock up. Every replica is. That's why they are called replicas. There is only one mad max interceptor and we all know where that is sitting right now. Inside that car is the original gauge from Mad max2 which is still mounted in the car. It also means that every other dobros gauge is just a replica of the mad max gauge in its appearance. My dobros gauge is probably not even a dobros. Luckily I paid mockup price and not original item price. The gauge makes up about 0.05% of the overall car in weight. It's not that big a deal to me given that I have a complete replica car sitting in the garage. Over the past few years I've had hundreds of conversation with people who have admire it and not one has said "excuse me, is that an original guage"
They are normally too busy saying, "Shit, it's the mad max car".

There is a community of members on this forum that have spent years building cars, bikes & trucks from the film and there is an equal amount that are currently in the process.
If you really want you and I to measure cock sizes, lets start with how authentic our mad max cars look in comparison to the original.....
Oh that's right......................You don't have one.

just ignore the wanker Brad, his just like others that think they rule the roost and build movie correct cars, which there is no such thing.

The story you started with was interesting none the least, keep that going...

when i was in the USA cars were very cheap, but when you convert for aussie conditions the price is very dear unless it 25 years or older, so the costs
here are nothing new. I loved some of the pickups in the usa but by the time you convert to right hand drive its very dear, and i did notice the vehicles in pic are Left hand drive, so rego wasnt needed i presume!...

For the record, The gauge thing is all but done now, so I don't see why you saw fit to offer your rather unneccessary explanation. Yes you do have a car don't you! I heard you, you might like to publish the fact in the newspapers, as I am sure you would like the whole world to know of your need for self gratifying one-upmanship.
Carry on......I was never here.

The vans are very impressive! Does the conversion include converting them to 4wd are are they 4wd from the factory?

How fast can these babies go? Seems like they would be limited by overheating of the tracks? Do they need "cold" medium, meaning snow and mud, or can they run on sand too?

PS Bart: nice axe dude :D

Unsure of the top speed, but the manufacturer warns that travelling on asphalt or bitumen at over 40kmh (28mph) results in between 80 - 90% wear on the tread.
Better designed for off-road use.
