ROAD WARRIOR JACKET MK2

Post by Road Pig »

made from a leather pilot's jacket, rawlings football pads (padding and armour plate,) leather belts, sheet steel, lorry inner tube, pop rivets.
the rawlings plate has a sheet steel plate underneath for increased protection. the pilot's leather jacket has large bag pockets on the front, ideal for shotgun cartdidges. the right sleeve has been cut off and tailored with double stitching.
there is an adjustable leather belt under the arm. the rawlings padding has been cut to shape and entirely covered in thick lorry inner tube.
i had to use extra rivets to mount it onto the jacket due to the weight of the sheet steel.
obviously this is very far from movie accurate, though i think it might be more protective than the movie jacket, and is definately an improvement on my first rw jacket, hence 'mk2'

Interesting interpretation.
I like the look of the inner tube and the dark pop rivets.
