Yeah, I would have to agree with Justice. My car is in rough shape. No doubt. Quite honestly though, that is just another reason why making a BoB outta it is that much more appealing. To make a MM car outta this coupe, one would simply need to restore the shell. Then slap on the body kit and your done! That is my plan anyhow.

To take a pristine restored XB GT and tear it down just to build a movie replica, yeah, I would say that would be uncool. But I don't think it has anything to do with being and Aussie or being a bloke from the States. To do that to ANY classic, be it a Aussie coupe, a Mach1, a Porsche 356b, whatever it is, if it is already a cherry ride, why change it into something else?

But to each his own really. They're just cars, right? And we only live once! No sense in getting upset over it. We all live under the same sky.

I'm not giving up on owning an Interceptor. I'm just trying to go about the task logically. If I end up selling this coupe, it will just pave the way for me to source another when I am in a better financial situation. If end up keeping this coupe, I will see it through. I just know I won't have the funds to even start on it for another year or so. Selling it would allow me to pay off some debts, which would in turn allow me to get my garage where it needs to be. Then, I could save up some cash and source another car.

Anyway, any takers for $7,000 USD?

The way I write things and the thoughts that go with it are not the same. Call it a condition I suffer from being who I am. Analyzing my posts is therefore pointless. Someone capable take this off his hands. Personally I would try everything possible to keep it. If you can keep your head above water without selling that is, family first. That sucker is going to be "worthless" once the movie comes out. Worthless as in priceless, no one will be able to afford that car in any form shape of fashion. It's the reason I keep in the back of my head I'll most likely never be a caretaker of one myself, even though I still want to.

Yeah, I am worried about that as well. Part of me doesn't want to let this one go until I KNOW I have another, better car on the way. Like I said, I'm not thinking of selling because I want to. And there is a very good chance this car ain't going anywhere.

Only time will tell with me.

I find myself wondering what it would take to make a "Convertible" Interceptor..
Not convertible as in a roof that folds down, but Convertible in the sense that it could be swapped from Regular, mild custom XB to to Replicar in a very short amount of time..

Say, have the BoB's distinctive parts held on with some sort of quick connect apparatus or strong magnets..

i'd be still worried about them falling or blowing off. if you have an XB coupe, it'd get more recognition as a max than as a falcon. same as having a General Lee vs a plain Dodge Charger.

Perhaps, and perhaps not. But anyone who is interested in this car should certainly talk to me about it in detail, and if possible come see it first. I am not trying to hide anything from anyone. The car has rust. The car needs a FULL restoration to become a BoB or a restored XC Coupe. There are no ifs, ands or buts about it.

Considering I paid roughly $4,500 to have the car shipped door-to-door, I am really not asking much for the car itself. It is a great base for a BoB car. For me, its just that reality has set in and I realize that I personally do not make enough money to do this project the way I want to do it, in any reasonable amount of time. Sure, I could still do it, and a big part of me wants to, but at the same time I realize that restoring this car and making a replica out of it will cost me every bit of spare cash and time for the next 3-5 years. And as much as I would love to do it, I just don't know if I can dedicate that much of myself for that amount of time. And I don't want this to turn into a 10 year project either. I've had the car for a year now and I still have yet to get any money together to put into it. So its time for me to move on. This car needs to go to someone who has the money, the time and the skills to tackle the project.

Hopefully in a few years time, I will be out of debt and have some of my other priorities and responsibilities out of the way, and I can pursue another Falcon.

Right now, I am extremely motivated to get the car out of my garage, and thus I am open to ANY reasonable offers.
