WIKA currently produces a "Mad Max Replica" gauge, available exclusevly through Mad Max Cars. Granted there are other ways to get a decent replica of the movie gauge (maybe even chaepar ways to go), but if you want one built by the "original Manufacturer" this is about a close as it gets these days, since they own the plant and Dobros name rights. They make the dial face (no rub on letters) from a screen capture of the film one, and build it in the original plant.
It is awesom what you have done there, but the body is not the same as the original, your Gauge is steel bodied, the orig was plastic, also the original had an acrylic clear face cover and a u-shaped bracket at the rear, where incidentally there is a removable panel supported by two philips type screws and the two bracket mounting studs. Your gauge actually could not be further from accurate and as such is not fit to be labeled as a "Replica". It could rightfully be called a gauge built in the style of the Mad Max gauge. It's like calling PVC Leather...that happens a LOT, and for most unwary consumers it works. The face and pointer look the same, but that's about it. Granted they do look awesome, and will make any owner happy and proud as the quality for one is very evident not to mention the fact that they are manufactured? bu WIKA themselves. not that it greatly matters to anyone but a purist who will never settle for second best.
And personally I still maintain that original Dobros gauges were not just used in food processing industries. I have it on good authority that they were used in all sorts of factory/industrial applications...from Tire manufacture, food processing, steelworks, boilers, water pumps, etc...etc....Exactly what of those I do not know, and no one else seems to know either.
Sure it is just a gauge, but far out! No one else likes to have their "theories" challenged at all, even the utterly preposterous ones, where proof is not required due to the ridiculousness of their claims.
