Mad Max remake

Post by The Ducks Guts »

Hi All

I wouldn't say I was new as I've posted before but any way . I'm one of those viewers !

Now my point. Ok this may go against the grain here and I'm sure I would get both barrels if you could get to me but how about this?

Many films seem to be remade . My only example I can think of at this moment of writing is Cape Fear .

Could there ever be a remake MAD MAX ? After watching The fast and the furious , could the same styles be applied to our favourite film. What about the cars and bikes ? Just use 5-year-old saloons and Japanese retro bikes like the Kawasaki Zephyr range (UK) or would it have to be specially built vehicles ?

Should the story line be altered in any way?

What do you think? Image

Me , I'll stick to the original and pray nobody thinks of remaking it.

Mad Max remake

I'm already probably skating on thin ice here, but I'll throw in my 2 cents regardless. If I had my way, both MM1 and MM2 would feature primarily GM cars from the Seventies instead of Fords. Demolition derby guys have told me that the most highly-survivable vehicle that can take the most damage and still function is the 1973-77 full size Chevy Caprice and Impala. Also NASCAR used the 1973-77 Mid size Chevy (Chevelle and Monte Carlo) up until 1981 because this body style was the perfect balance of size / weight / handling / survivabilty (Yes, those big cars can handle)

The opening scene in MM-2 saddens me every time when Max barely taps the car in front of him and the whole front end falls off his Puruit Special.

Just an opinion.

I'll vote for a remake!

The nose crushed easily on the Interceptor due to its experimental nature not due to its brand. This was a one off project built from ....

"a piece from here.. and a piece from there....so easy?"
